Why is this man (woman) blessed?
3. He delights greatly...he enjoys so much keeping and obeying God's commands...he loves God's Word with gusto...he has a large appetite for God's Word.
The principle is this: With RESPONSIBILITY comes BLESSINGS. Let us locate some scriptures to prove this point.
- Psalm 19.7,8, "The Law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul...the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes."
- Psalm 119.11, "Your Word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against You."
- Proverbs 2.1, 5, "My son, if you will receive my Words...then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and you will find the knowledge of God."
- Proverbs 4.10, "Hear, O my son, and receive My sayings, and the years of your life shall be many."
- John 14.23, "Jesus answered...if a man loves me, he will keep My Words: and My Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him."
- Joshua 1.8, "This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you must meditate therein day and night...do according to all that is written therein: for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."
WOW! prosperity and success is promised to the man or woman who "delights greatly in His commands."
